2026 midterm and Michigan elections: MSU experts can comment

Michigan is set to play a pivotal role in the 2026 midterm elections. Races for the U.S. Senate seat and several U.S. House districts could tip the balance of control in Washington, D.C., while all statewide offices are also up for election, including the governorship.
As the primary is over, eyes have shifted to the Michigan’s U.S. Senate race and governship, as well as various U.S. House races across the state.
Key issues remain top of mind for many voters including, but not limited to, gas prices and economic issues, foreign policy, immigration and trust in democracy. Here in Michigan, there is a specific focus on data centers, K-12 education, population and healthcare.
