The stress and chaos of teaching during a once-in-a-century pandemic has some Michigan teachers weighing a departure from public education. That prospect is stirring fears of a mass exodus that could hobble public schools in Michigan without an influx of new teachers in a talent pipeline that was diminishing well before the pandemic.
