MSU study says state’s teacher wages lag behind national averages

The Education Policy Innovation Collaborative has found that wages for Michigan’s public school teachers have gone below the national average. Wages have declined 20.6% from 1999 to 2021, also having one of the lowest starting salaries in the country.
