Julia Bachmann is a doctoral candidate in the School Psychology program at MSU. Her research is focused on early literacy assessment and intervention practices. At EPIC, she is conducting a study associated with the Read by Grade 3 project. Prior to her doctoral studies, Julia served as a K-3 reading interventionist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kalamazoo College and a master’s degree in school psychology at Michigan State University.

EPIC works with state and district partners to create a targeted research agenda to learn which reform strategies are most effective, where, when and for whom.
