Student Enrollment in the First Two Cohorts of Partnership Schools

This report examines enrollment in the first two cohorts of Partnership schools and districts relative to other schools statewide over a 10-year period from prior to the COVID-19 pandemic through fall 2022. We study these trends overall and for the youngest students, who reached school age during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Key findings include:
- The COVID-19 pandemic did not appear to adversely affect total enrollment in Partnership schools
- Kindergarten enrollment rebounded more slowly in Partnership schools than elsewhere in the state
- The entering kindergarten classes of 2020 and 2021 returned in Partnership schools at greater rates than in other schools
