Adrea Truckenmiller

Adrea Truckenmiller is an Associate Professor of Special Education and School Psychology in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education and she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She conducts research, creates tools, and trains teacher leaders to use research-based assessment and instruction. Specifically, she investigates the link between assessment and instruction for writing and reading within the context of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework (MTSS). She co-created the MTSS masters degree and certification at MSU and was awarded several training grants to teach and mentor students. Her research is supported by the Institute of Education Sciences and she is on the editorial board of five journals. Her research is published in outlets such as Reading and Writing, Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness, Journal of Special Education, and Journal of School Psychology.

EPIC works with state and district partners to create a targeted research agenda to learn which reform strategies are most effective, where, when and for whom.
