Andrew Johnson

Graduate Assistant

Andrew is a doctoral student in the Education Policy program. He is broadly interested in the economics of education, especially curious about the decisions people make and the context in which they are based and perceived to be set. At EPIC, he is a member of the school choice and mobility team. Prior to matriculating to Michigan State, Andrew was a middle school math teacher. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University.

EPIC works with state and district partners to create a targeted research agenda to learn which reform strategies are most effective, where, when and for whom.
