Kuma Okoro is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics. His fields of interest are public economics, labor economics, and education. His current research focuses on the impact of inter-district school integration programs on students’ long-term outcomes. Prior to beginning his studies at MSU, Kuma received a bachelor’s degree in international political economy from Georgetown University and worked as a research assistant with the Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

EPIC works with state and district partners to create a targeted research agenda to learn which reform strategies are most effective, where, when and for whom.
