Soo Jeong Lee is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics. Her fields of interest are econometrics and education. Her current research focuses on measuring teacher effectiveness on student academic achievement. At EPIC, she assists in the Flint school district project related to students’ school choice. Prior to beginning her studies at MSU, Soo Jeong earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Economics from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea and worked as a manager at Korea Technology Finance Corporation.

EPIC works with state and district partners to create a targeted research agenda to learn which reform strategies are most effective, where, when and for whom.
