Schools can open ‘this winter’ if coronavirus cases remain flat, says Michigan Superintendent

LANSING, MI – Confidence is growing that Michigan education officials will be able to reopen K-12 education in weeks, as long as pandemic numbers remain flat. Furthermore, school districts across the state are becoming increasingly supportive of in-person learning due to factors such as improved COVID-19 protocols and the need to address pandemic learning loss in students, said state Superintendent Dr. Michael Rice Tuesday.
